My counselling room is in The Sunshine Clinic in Send between Guildford and Woking. There is free parking.
How much does it cost?
£55 for each 50 minute session of one-to-one, face-to-face counselling. £25 for a 30 minute initial consultation. Fees will increase each year on the first of April.
How many sessions will be needed?
That is something which we can decide between us. Some people find short-term counselling (6 – 12) sessions helpful, whereas some wish to work in a more open-ended or long term way.
How does counselling work?
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on different approaches in order to make sense of our experience as human beings. For example, existentialism suggests that humans are all challenged by facts such as death and freedom of choice while psychodynamic approaches place more emphasis on past events and relationships. My work with clients is about listening and creating a reflective space where it is possible to work through issues. I seek to create a warm relationship which encourages honesty and exploration. I believe that each client is the expert on their own lives so our work is not about me giving advice or finding solutions; it is about enabling the client to find their own way forward.
